ACT Taekwondo Championship 2024: Another Arena Where GIVE SPACE Kids Learned from Real Experience
2024-03-30

On 30 March 2024, Taekwondo students from GIVE SPACE competed in the ACT Taekwondo Championship 2024 at Assumption College Thonburi.
It was another arena that gave kids the chance to take everything they'd been practicing and use it in a real competition.
For GIVE SPACE, a competition isn't only about winning or losing. It's another experience that helps children learn how stepping onto a real mat differs from practicing in class.

From class practice to a real competition
In class, children have time to practice skills, take feedback from their coaches, and gradually fix what they can't do well yet. In a real competition, they have to use what they've practiced in a brand-new situation.
The nerves, the atmosphere, the other competitors, and the pressure of the moment — none of this can be fully simulated in a classroom. Competing helps children see both what they already do well and what they can go back and improve.
Everyone who dared to compete has already taken a step forward
GIVE SPACE congratulates every student who took part in the ACT Taekwondo Championship 2024.
Before talking about results, there's one thing every child gained equally: the courage to go out and try something new. Some kids were excited, some were anxious, and some met opponents or situations they had never faced in training. Every one of those experiences becomes useful information for the next step of their development.
Sometimes growth doesn't only happen on days when everything goes to plan. It can also come from realizing:
what I couldn't fully do this time, and what I'll go back and improve for next time.
Competition is one part of the learning process
At GIVE SPACE, we want children to see that learning Taekwondo isn't just about memorizing forms or getting through each class. When they're ready, stepping into a real arena helps them connect what they're training with real situations.
From learning the basics → practicing → competing → reflecting → coming back to improve
This process makes competition not a "finish line" but another step in learning.
Coaches and staff learn alongside the kids
After the competition, the GIVE SPACE coaching team and staff reviewed the experience too. What went well gets built on; what could be better gets worked on, so that the care and preparation children receive next time is even stronger.
For us, development doesn't only happen for the students — the team looking after them has to keep learning and improving as well.

Thank you to every family who supported the kids
Another key source of strength for every child is their parents — from encouraging them to come to class, to supporting consistent practice, to standing by them on competition day.
GIVE SPACE thanks every parent who cooperated with, helped, and supported the ACT Taekwondo Championship 2024.
Every bit of that support helped the kids experience something beyond what a classroom alone can offer.
At GIVE SPACE, we want kids to learn — and to use what they learn
GIVE SPACE's Taekwondo classes aren't only about getting kids moving or drilling techniques. We want children to build their foundations step by step, practice consistently, and — when they're ready — have the chance to try new experiences, whether that's a belt promotion test or a real competition.
These experiences help children see that
what they practice every week can carry them toward bigger goals.
Frequently asked questions
If my child learns Taekwondo at GIVE SPACE, will they get to compete?
GIVE SPACE gives students who are ready the opportunity to experience real competition — for example, the ACT Taekwondo Championship 2024.
For us, competition isn't something every child has to rush toward. It's an opportunity to build on their training once their fundamentals and readiness are in place. The point is for children to learn from real situations and bring that experience back to keep improving.
How does GIVE SPACE prepare children for competition?
It still starts with building fundamentals in class and practicing consistently. When a child gets the chance to compete, what happens on the mat helps both the child and the coaching team see more clearly which skills are strong and which need more work.
That makes it a continuous loop: class → real competition → back to improving.
My child has never done Taekwondo before. Can they start at GIVE SPACE?
Yes. GIVE SPACE's Taekwondo classes start from the basics and progress at each student's level. Children don't need a competition goal on day one — they can start by learning fundamentals, getting comfortable in class, and setting new goals when they're ready.
If you're looking for an activity where your child can move, build skills, work toward goals, and grow into real-world experiences, get in touch to ask about GIVE SPACE's Taekwondo classes.
